Assert Yourself

This event is designed to be an initial introduction into assertiveness, enabling participants to gain a clearer understanding of what it means – and takes – to be assertive.  Participants will learn effective techniques enabling them to improve their self-esteem and becoming more assertive.

Gives a good grounding into using assertiveness skills as an alternative to passive, manipulative or aggressive behaviour.  Participants will develop their knowledge and understanding in the areas of improving self-esteem, coping with criticism and communicating needs, wants and feelings.
