The Association for Contextual Behaviour Science

BABCP

The British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies
(BABCP)
is a multi-disciplinary interest group for people involved in the
practice and theory of behavioural and cognitive psychotherapy. The aims
of the association are to:

Promote the development of the theory and practice of Behavioural and
Cognitive Psychotherapies in all applicable settings in accordance with
the Standards of Conduct Performance and Ethics.

Provide a forum for discussion of matters relevant to Behavioural &
Cognitive Psychotherapies among members of all helping professions.

Disseminate information about, set standards for and provide training in
Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies among members of all helping

Maintain standards for practitioners of Behavioural & Cognitive
Psychotherapy by providing the opportunity for members who meet minimum
criteria to become Accredited.

Represent the interests of behavioural and cognitive psychotherapists
through liaison with public and professional bodies and other world-wide

Publish and circulate an academic Journal, Newsletter and other
publications aimed at disseminating research and information about the
applications of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.

Facilitate the formation of Geographical and Interest Groups in order to

The Complimentary Therapists Association (CThA)
is a leading professional organisation representing complementary
therapists in the UK and Ireland. Member Therapists are required to
have an accredited qualification in their area of practice and abide by
the CThA code of practice.

The International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy
is the world leader in membership-based cognitive and
cognitive-behavioral therapy associations. We sponsor the
International Journal of Cognitive Therapy (published by Guilford
Press), host a tri-annual world congress (next in Hong Kong in June of
2014), co-publish a newsletter with the Academy of Cognitive Therapy,
host a members web site, and have a series of members’ benefits, among

qualified board of administration that founded the ISPC to promote
professional recognition for Counsellors through qualification and
experience. The ISPC is involved in three main activities. Firstly, it
facilitates research and the exchange of information in the field of
counselling psychology. Secondly, it provides assessment and
certification in the field of counselling psychology and its related
disciplines. Thirdly, it provides a supportive body to which
