Become a Host Organisation

One of the primary aims of OPAL is to improve the services to those who seek to expand their personal development and awareness with the aim of maximising the effectiveness of all who are working to build upon their skills and knowledge.

With this aim in mind, OPAL provides training, seminars and conferences that are relevant, topical and affordable.  We want our training to be accessible to all who wish to attend and endeavour to ensure this by establishing regional venues across Ireland and the UK.  In order to achieve this, OPAL actively seeks to work in partnership with other organisations that are prepared to act as ‘hosts’ by providing suitable venues for OPAL training events.

What are the benefits of being an OPAL 'Host Organisation'?

Become an OPAL Host Organisation and gain the following benefits:

  • Reduction on places at the training event you host
  • Reduction on the cost of other OPAL training
  • Privileged discounts on other OPAL services

What is the 'Host Organisation' expected to provide?

We ask that you provide a venue that is a suitable environment to conduct training in, which can accommodate between 25 and 75 people (depending on the event).  The venue should be easily accessible to all, both by road and rail.  We would also require access to a kitchen so that we are able to provide refreshments and a buffet lunch.

Is the Host Organisation expected to promote OPAL events?

The OPAL team will promote and advertise the events and there is no expectation for Host Organisations to become involved in this in any way.  We would of course be happy to listen to any of your ideas and suggestions on the most effective ways of promoting the event in your region.

Are there any other expectations on the Host Organisation?

We ask that you provide us with a contact person, so that we can liase with them about times and dates of regional events.  We would also require you to ensure that we can have access to the venue at least one hour prior to commencement of the event, so as to enable us to prepare the venue accordingly.

How many and what type of events would you need to host?

You choose!  There is no commitment and you get the benefit of utilising regional open access events to meet your own organisations training requirements at a significantly reduced cost!
